Walking For Rochester is not simply a group that picks up litter. We are an organized nonprofit building a system to eliminate litter through technology, community engagement, and data driven solutions.

Our approach combines volunteers, strategic partnerships, mobile applications, GIS mapping, and innovative social engineering to identify litter hotspots, track progress, and create lasting change across Rochester.

In just the past two years, our volunteers have removed more than 10,000 pounds of litter from our community. Remarkably, these results have been achieved before the full implementation of our Litter Elimination System, including our mobile app and interactive GIS dashboard.

We believe litter is a solvable problem. With the right tools, the right data, and a community committed to action, Rochester can become the first litter free city in America.
